This live virtual event is dedicated to advancing acute care occupational therapy and physical therapy for pelvic health diagnoses to enhance early recovery and maximize function.

Topic submissions will be accepted on pelvic health rehabilitation during hospital admission and within the first 6 weeks of recovery, including evaluation, treatment, discharge planning, and recommendations for referral to home health and outpatient therapy services.

Call for abstracts deadline: May 15, 2023

Presentations: 30 minutes in length with 15 minutes for Q/A

Submissions on acute care pelvic health rehabilitation may include:

  • Vaginal birth
  • Cesarean section
  • Abdominal surgery
  • Hysterectomy
  • Endometriosis surgery
  • Pelvic organ prolapse repair
  • Prostatectomy
  • Urostomy, Iliostomy, Colostomy
  • Perineal and pelvic wound care
  • Bowel and bladder dysfunction
  • Reproductive surgery or injury
