DESCRIPTION:Seven days after an unplanned C-section and a hospital readmission for postpartum hypertension. The first person to look into her eyes and ask how she’s doing isn’t her doula\, isn’t her OB\, and isn’t her partner. It’s her occupational therapist\, kneeling by the edge of her bed\, asking about her thoughts\, her body\, her pain\, and her ability to care for her baby.  \nThat visit didn’t exist a few years ago.
